What They wanted to Achieve

RVT needed a structured, capability‑led organisation that could support predictable product development and bespoke client solutions. Their goals included:

  • Establishing clear roles and responsibilities across R&D, Product Management, Applications Engineering and Operations
  • Creating an organisational structure aligned to the new NPI Governance Framework
  • Recruiting the specialist talent required to support growth
  • Improving collaboration, reducing delays and strengthening product quality

The CHallenges

RVT faced several interconnected issues:

What 7Q DID

We started by asking the right questions – the seven which make the biggest difference.

Using the 7Q Framework, we focused on a structured, evidence‑based organisational design and capability‑building process:

  • Organisational Assessment

    Conducted a full review of RVT’s R&D, Product Management, Applications Engineering and Operations functions, identifying gaps in structure, capability and governance.

  • Developed a New Organisational Structure

    Created R&R organisation charts, defined interfaces between functions and recommended the creation of key roles including an R&D Manager, supported by a Project Manager and Product Managers.

  • Delivered Specific Solutions

    Designed a transition plan to integrate the Environmental (EnviroHub) team under unified R&D governance, established PMO alignment under the 7Q governance system and developed detailed job specifications for all new and revised roles.

Every recommendation was practical, actionable and tied to measurable improvements in capability, governance and delivery.
