Founded by Fred Warner after 25 years in leadership, advisory, and consultancy roles across F1, aerospace, defence, hydrogen fuel cell, rail, IoT, and more, 7Q was created to create, intervene, and protect enterprise value.
The firm is grounded in real‑world experience delivering advanced engineering and technology – providing steering and guidance based on practice, not theory, and offering a clear alternative to “career” consultants and PowerPoint‑led advice.

Why 7Q Exists
Fred Warner originally created 7Q® Plan (where 7Q = 7 Questions) as a human‑centric planning method, driven by frustration with traditional governance and project management frameworks.
While these frameworks have their strengths, they often fail to align teams on the fundamentals – why programmes are being delivered, what needs to be done, who is responsible, when delivery is realistic, and how it translates into cost and value.
7Q® Plan was created to bring clarity, alignment, and accountability to these critical questions.
Following the publication of the 7Q® Method (‘Master Any Plan in 7 Questions’), Fred expanded his advisory work into 7Q Ltd – focused specifically on advanced engineering and high‑stakes decision environments.
About Fred Warner
FOunder & Director
Fred is a Chartered Engineer, Engineering Fellow, PMP Certified, and with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Loughborough University.
Having worked at Managing Director level in engineering companies, Fred has been an independent Strategic Adviser & Management Consultant since 2019, before founding 7Q Ltd and launching in 2025.
Fred has an extensive career history in business growth and exit delivery, transformation (pre and post-acquisition), R&D, NPI, governance, steering, working with Boards, CxO and shareholders bringing together capital planning, commercial forecasting, R&D roadmaps and business transformation to achieve enterprise growth.
